French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM)

The French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) operates under the joint authority of the French Ministries of Health and Research. Inserm is the only public research organization in France entirely dedicated to human health, from the laboratory to the patient’s bedside. Its objective is to promote health for all by advancing knowledge about life and disease, treatment innovation and public health research.

Main tasks in the project
Inserm provides data (on health, environmental exposure and epigenetic) and biological samples (SEPAGES only) already collected in 3 cohorts (EDEN, SEPAGES, PELAGIE) and will collect new data and biological samples (follow-up of the EDEN participants in the HELIX subcohort). Inserm also leads two WPs (WP6 on epidemiological analyses in children and teenagers and WP8 on health impact) and two tasks in additional WPs.
