University of Southern California (USC)
The Keck School of Medicine of USC provides a rich array of infrastructure, database and clinical resources for research on environmental contributions to children’s health. It was established in 1885, making Keck the oldest medical school in Southern California. It includes more than 1,500 full-time faculty, 2,400 voluntary faculty physicians, 1,800 staff and more than 900 resident physicians being trained in more than 50 specialty or subspecialty programs. The Keck School is home to 24 research oriented basic and clinical academic programs.
The Department of Preventive Medicine at Keck School of Medicine of USC was founded in 1977 and currently has 1,009 students. The Department’s research mission is to carry out far reaching and cutting-edge research that has the overall purpose of providing the evidence needed to advance population health.
