Sant Joan De Déu Hospital (HSJD)
Barcelona Children’s Hospital Sant Joan de Déu (HSJD) is one of the leading medical centres in Europe for maternity, childhood and adolescence and offers a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to health care from birth through 18 years of age. HSJD is a private not-for-profit centre, working mainly for the National Health System offering the public contracted services. With 150 years of history, HSJD is currently a modern maternal and children’s hospital, dotted with the latest technology and referral centre for health care, combining basic general paediatric with specialized care for all tertiary-level pediatric pathologies, covering a paediatric population of 200,000 children.

Main tasks in the project
HSJD will contribute with its expertise in foetal environment and obstetrical complications. HSJD will make available not only the expertise of its staff members but also retrospective and prospective cohort data (BiSC) necessary for the analysis of in-utero exposome and early organ development.
